What Bali Actually Charges Your Family In 2026
Bali’s tourist levy is a flat provincial fee, separate from your Indonesian visa. According to Wego, every foreign tourist pays a one-time IDR 150,000 (roughly USD 10) levy in 2026, paid once per trip through the official Love Bali portal, which issues a QR voucher for arrival.
No child discount. Destined for Bali reports there’s no infant exemption either, so you budget IDR 150,000 for every member of the family.

The visa fee comes from DTravel, which lists Indonesia’s visa charge at IDR 500,000, roughly PKR 9,000 to 10,000. The proof-of-funds figure comes from Dijiwa Sanctuaries, which reports that as of March 2026 the C1 visit visa needs a three-month bank statement showing a minimum USD 2,000 balance.
Family of four? That’s IDR 600,000 in levy alone. Small money. Big friction if you skip it.
The Visa-On-Arrival Question Nobody Answers Cleanly
Search “Bali visa on arrival Pakistan” and you’ll get two answers.
Some agents say Pakistani passports qualify at Ngurah Rai. Others say flatly no. Apricot Tours states Pakistan is not eligible for Indonesia’s visa on arrival and is not on the visa-exemption list. E-Visa Indonesia says Pakistani passport holders must secure their documents online before departure, with a standard 3 to 5 business day processing time and no expedited option.
When sources disagree, you don’t gamble the family’s December holiday on the optimistic one.
You apply before you fly. Approved visa in the inbox, then you book the non-refundable villa. Not the other way round.
And you fill the All Indonesia digital arrival card. Visit World notes the card merged the old customs, health and immigration forms into one online submission, and it can’t be completed earlier than three days before entry. So it’s a calendar reminder, not a task you finish in September.
Why The Levy Suddenly Matters More Than It Did
For two years the levy ran on trust and most people walked past it.
That’s changing. Cabo Bali reports the airport now runs dedicated levy checkpoints, and travellers who haven’t paid online get directed to a counter before they can exit. Spot checks happen at big sites too, with officers asking for the QR voucher at temples and popular spots.
Also worth knowing: fake levy sites exist and overcharge. Only the government domain ending in .go.id is real.
Ten dollars a head. Two minutes on a laptop in Karachi. Or a public argument at Tanah Lot while your kids melt in the sun.
December In Bali Is Wet, And That Changes The Whole Plan
Bali’s rainy season runs roughly November through March. Afternoon downpours, heavy and short, most days.
Which is exactly when Pakistani schools break.
A rigid seven-day itinerary written in an office in Karachi does not survive a wet Tuesday in Seminyak. You lose the beach day, the rice-terrace trek, the sunset temple. Then you sit in the villa watching cartoons on a hotel TV, paying resort rates for nothing.
Plan the indoor options first and rain becomes weather instead of a crisis.

Slot two of these as floating options, not fixed days. Then you use them when the sky opens and skip them when it doesn’t.
Try asking a package agency to restructure day four at 9am because it’s raining. You already know the answer.
The Routing Part Most Itineraries Ignore
There’s no nonstop from Karachi to Denpasar, so your family connects somewhere.
That matters more than usual right now. OPSGROUP reported in July 2026 that EASA advises operators to avoid the airspace of Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE and the western Gulf of Oman, that Kuwait remains closed to overflights, and that GPS jamming stays an operational problem in the region. No firm ceasefire, and short-notice disruption is still live.
Nobody can promise you a clean connection in that environment. What you can do is choose a routing that gives you slack instead of a 55-minute transfer, and know who’s answering your phone if a flight rolls.
